Principal Message
I’m excited to introduce myself as I begin my first year as principal of Webster City High School. I’m a proud graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, so wearing purple and gold already feels like home! My wife, Tish, is a kindergarten teacher, and together we have three wonderful children. Our oldest daughter was recently married and now lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband. Our son is a sophomore at the University of Iowa, and our youngest daughter will be a senior in high school. As both a parent and an educator, I deeply understand the importance of students feeling safe, supported, and connected throughout their school experience.
At Webster City High School, we will remain focused on providing high-quality teaching and learning in every classroom, every day. Our goal is to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students are engaged, encouraged to think critically, and prepared for their purpose or whatever path they choose beyond high school. We’ll continue to build strong relationships and foster a school culture that values both academic excellence and personal growth.
It is truly an honor to join this incredible school community, and I look forward to working together to ensure every student is valued, supported, and challenged throughout their high school journey.
Thank you for the warm welcome I’ve already received. I’m eager to connect with many of you in the coming weeks and begin this important work together.
With appreciation and enthusiasm,
Jason S. Wedgbury
